Hammer Down, Keep on Rollin’: A Family’s Whiskey Passion Project

Tommy’s Reserve

A family wanted their bottles to look great – like their small batch tasted. I couldn’t say “no” to whiskey.

Earlier this year, I got a call from a family in Iowa that was making their own small batch whiskey. They wanted to give bottles to customers of their trucking company, T&S Trucking, as Christmas gifts – but wanted premium labels since they were investing so much in the process.

Tommy's Reserve features the owner's Harley-Davidson, alongside his son's. The image is important to them because they rode across the American West together a few years ago.

Left Lane Gang is an inside joke among the owner's trucking buddies. It features his signature Peterbilt truck with the tagline, "Hammer Down, Keep on Rollin."

They’re good folks and it was a pleasure to work with them through the entire process. The bourbon ain’t bad either.

Shoutout to Foundry Distilling in Des Moines for producing the whiskey and bottles, we’re so proud of the end result.
